Imo termite chest is best all around defensive piece. Dust cloud lowers enemy attack speed and damage. It is also top tier defense wise, comparible to best medium armor with only light armor Stam reduction. Bm helm is similar, has top tier heavy defense with med Stam reduction, and free poison dot on all weapons, and poison nova aoe.
