Prime the oil pump using the hole inside the oil filter housing, front edge, down a bit. Leave the oil filter cover off. Crank engine over observing the opening inside the oil filter housing. Oil should start flowing into the opening in 5 or 10 seconds. There is a drain in the bottom of the oil filter housing.

Now when you rub down the decals, you will press the vinyl down and not score the surface. Here is what you need to do. Rotate the engine back around to #1 TDC and align the pointer with the TDC mark on the pulley. Remove the distributor/Mag. Looking in from the distributor/Mag side the dot will be in the center of the exposed gear, if you could see it, but you won't because the seal will block its view.

A 6Volt system , as with a 12 Volt system in proper working order will have the amp. guage function as expected. If your tractor was converted to 12 Volt in a decent fashion , you have a charging issue to trace. We can guess reasonably that it was originally 6 Volt.
