Replacing them helped, but still clunking. 2) While doing a visual inspection, I found the harmonic damper was rattling. It only exists on manual trans models. 2007 HONDA CRV. 4 CYL. 2WD. AUTOMATIC. 27,000 MILES. Before I got hit in the rear of by car, there were no unusual nosies. Then I had a car accident and someone hit the rear. Okay. Got it repaired. You could tap the pedal 100 times going in reverse and it will clunk each time. My local Honda dealer is telling me this is normal. I've never heard this in a car before.
