Coolant temp came to 200F and I started driving again, but then within a mile of driving the coolant temp started rising to 230-240 and fan started at full power and then engine overheat warning. The noise happens all the time while the car is moving. It speeds up and slows down as the vehicle changes speed but is not affected by engine speed. Thermostat is not that old (about a year) so I replaced the PCV valve which was toast (and quite a pain in the arse). At idle or even low speeds (45-50) it's fine. But as speed increases the temp goes up.

rsmwrangler. On a nice cold morning on the highway at 70mph or so, you should be around 199-203F, but under load/traffic etc, the temp goes up because of the way the fans are programmed, so 230-240F is normal hot with the factory calibration, with my tune, my normal hot coolant temp is 212-216F.
