I am not asking for location specifics but just hope to get a conversation going about anyone else who thinks they may have spotted wood-loving Psilocybe in Missouri. I am particularly interested in any experiences hunting for them in central or west Missouri areas, as Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata have already been found in eastern Missouri.

They appear different in different locations but have the same basic features for the most part. Always look near small bodies of water like streams and creeks. They grow on decaying wood and sometimes prefer sandy soil. In the Ohio River valley you can fill up trash bags with them. 3.
