Bonnie was a very competent woman and Annalise knows this. But she also knows the reason Bonnie doesn’t believe in herself or her independence is because Annalise didn’t make an effort to make her. If I remember correctly it was revealed that Xavier, Laurel's brother, had her mom killed, and he sent Laurel her scalp as a warning. Laurel had Jorge killed in prison with Tegan's help, so that she and her baby could be safe from him. Laurel confirmed in the last episode of the show that It was her father Jorge who killed Sandrine,not Xavier.
I think it was for the best they killed Wes off, but I don’t like how they did it.
