Directv closed captioning not working.
The issue is that Direct TV is not recording the closed captioning that CBS is providing. I understand that this is only happening with some customers makes this somewhat more difficult for Direct TV to find as it is not consistent and may not be able to be duplicated. I am willing to do whatever I can to assist.

Starting a couple of days ago (12/19/2023) I can no longer turn on or off closed caption by using Google Assistant - press the button on the Gemini Remote and say “turn on captioning”. I am not aware of any update that occurred.
