The GS4 should connect easily with Uconnect. Since you've already disconnected the battery, that should have reset the related modules, I was going to suggest pulling the fuses (they really need a reset option on the Uconnect system). I'd also delete the profile and re-pair the phone, but I doubt that's the issue.

Unfortunately it is true, you can't really use any old chrysler harness, but it has nothing to do with the amp. Simply put there is no acc wire in the harness.
