Dude, this is the shulkercraft farm. Problem might be an iron golem which spawned outside the building but within the detecting distance of villagers. Just make the building bigger. Like 17 blocks in each direction from the villagers. Or atleast spawn proof the area outside building so that iron golems don't spawn outside your building.

Villagers won't breed til there are 1) enough houses (which the farm provides) and 2) they are made willing*; I believe this achieved by giving them certain types & quantities of food (I think its 12 potatoes, 12 carrots or 3 bread) and/or trading with them.

If the golems are spawning on top of the glass then slabs on top shouldn't stop that since iron golems can spawn inside transparent blocks, like slabs, even normally. My suggestion would be to build up the pods with solid blocks, maybe 3 or 4 layers. Then add either torches or a layer of glass to stop other mobs from spawning on them.
