Apparently Sonic cares more about getting off work on time than taking care of the customers. I can't help but wonder if the customers that were in line after me were ignored as well. My guess is yes. Because of Sonic's lack of service, Weinerschnitzel (3 miles away) has been (and will be) getting a lot more of my business.
