But get that leak fixed and then I would replace the alternator. It's not an overly difficult leak to fix. Here's Honda's TSB: That quote for the spool valve is very high. The That quote for the spool valve is very high, they are quoting the entire valve to be replaced, which is not necessary. Honda Service Bulletin 20-023, which explains how to replace only the top portion, also lists the Flat Rate Time as0.8 hours. BTW, I doubt this quote is from a Honda dealer.
