The VTM-4 unit on the Ridgeline is NOT AN OPEN DIFFERENTIAL BY MECHANICAL DEFINITION. It has no planet gears. Therefore, the same rules don't apply. Braking an individual rear wheel would simply result in wasting power through heating of the brake and clutch pack on the wheel being braked. Instead of transferring power, it would dissipate power.
It's actually like 2.2 for some unknown stupid reason. You may be able to cram 2.2 quarts in there, but the specification is 1.92 quarts at fluid change or 2.46 quarts at overhaul. The fluid level should reach the bottom of the filler plug hole - it doesn't have to drip out of it.
