Is hyper flash turn signals illegal.

I love that they are much brighter and easier to see but they do cause the turn signals to go into hyperflash. Honestly, I actually like the faster flash and think it might be more visible to other drivers but I was wondering if it was illegal or unsafe to leave it like this.
