Consumer Report, Powers and many other testing outfits are of the opposite opinion, so are most owners. If your shop was not able to find a water leak, it is the shop that has problems, not the vehicle.
I've had this problem ever since I bought my 2003 sorento. The problem is that even when the air is set to "recirculate" and heating/cooling system is off, there is air leaking into the vehicle from somewhere underneath the glove compartment on the passenger side.Coolant leak but no obvious leaking point. This mornin when I took the car out from the garage I noticed a green pool to the right under the front of the car. smelled it and it smelled like coolant. went by the garage on my way to work and they took a quick look for 40min and didnt notice any leak. The coolant expansion container was empty.Found it leaking from the water pump area on the passenger side by where the bottom of the auto tensioner sticks out from the bottom timing belt cover. I removed everything and changed the water pump, timing belt, tensioner and pully (1st timing belt job. Made easy by this forum (Thanks). I used RTV sealant on the water pump gasket.Kia Mechanic: Peter W. Like the automated question asked, it is very likely the HVAC drain tube is blocked. While condensation builds up inside the HVAC box the water draining needs somewhere to go, this is why normally when you run the air conditioning you see a puddle form underneath the car.I have a 2000 kia sephia with 130k on it. HighMiles. It happens to various vehicles, sometimes. Just find something firm yet pliable to insert into drain pipe underneath vehicle near passenger side. That will dislodge gunk which is holding the water from draining out the pipe. It is going to be difficult to target that leak from the top side of the motor: suggest using a mechanics mirror (on a extendable rod), or better, take the Sporty to a shop and have the vehicle up on a professional lift where the bottom end can be (safely) viewed to locate the leak -

Kia has a factory defect with the glass sunroof sealant adhesion on the sorento. Take it to the dealership asap.
