I'd definitely concur. My M1A is a bog-standard model with the black fiberglass stock, and its accuracy easily outstrips my ability to point it at the target. There are a lot of rifles that have major accuracy issues with the base models vs "match grade" models, but the Springfield M1A doesn't appear to be one of them.
