A Wilkesboro man was killed while cleaning his vehicle at a Wilkesboro car wash in what police are calling a "freak accident." Karl Warren Hunsberger, 62, died at the scene of the accident at Rocket Wash on U.S. 421 in Wilkesboro around 12:30 p.m., on Monday, Jan. 23, according to a report sent to The Wilkes Record from the Wilkesboro Police Department.
