I like the fact the Hoyt has a rotating mod for draw length and only a 3 piece string system. First off, I shot the Phase 4 side by side with a V3X, both 29" ATA and 60 pounds, 28" draw length. I will say, both shot very nicely and I could barely tell a difference. I have a 25.5 to 26 tinch draw. I’m looking for opinions on these bows with a 26 or around 26 inch draw. I know the Hoyt at 26 falls at the max of the shortest mod. I know Matthews is draw specific.

Mathews was SIGNIFICANTLY quieter than the Hoyt. I would guess it was 25-30% quieter, which is massive. Back Wall. The Mathews has an amazing back wall. There is hardly any creep and it’s very solid. The Hoyt has a very spongy back wall. For that reason, Mathews wins this category. Speed.

If you don’t have a Phase 4, it is one of the top 2 bows Ive shot this year. The Hoyt VTM 31 and Phase 4 29 are still the top of the class in my opinion. I really like the SS34 and Omnia, but the Mathews and Hoyt were just so effortless to hold on target and shoot repeatable shoots for me.
