Pierce LBG has always been good since Iceborne and are even more powerful then ever. I have several builds but not near my switch to give but I can tell you the Malzeno And narga LBGs are what you want for rapid fire Pierce 2. The abyssal hailstorm and shagara LBGs are what you want for spread 3 LBG. Magmadron LBG for rapid fire Pierce fire ammo.
They're also semi-budget as well, since most of them just require a 2 Lv2 slots charm (Compared to Phemeto's "budget" builds requiring a Wex2 Lv3/Lv1 charm). Angbata is a good source too for budget builds or rather he does no charm builds. Ballistics is good for Pierce yes, since it extends hitzones but also means you can fire from a shorter range. With wex I personally prefer cb. It's more needed on spread than pierce. But if you run slice/sticky you wouldn't need them at all. With pierce I prefer to use silencer to shorten crit distance range.Its interesting for lbg rapid pierce, comparing the Malzeno to cgore. Base stats malzeno has 0% affinity and 330 raw. It has only a 1* rampage slot, so you usually have to qurio mod it up to fit a good dec. It has a nice 4* slot, and decently low recoil and reload. It also has a nice 5 clip size, moving shooting and reloading.I'm hopeful that when lucent nargacuga comes - things will truly change! Normal 2 rapid fire is pretty bad. Really if you want an easy to use LBG you can use for nearly anything, go with Rapid Fire Pierce. The barroth bowgun can be built really early and can carry you till you can build the Nargacuga LBG which you can use all the way up to endgame Master Rank upgrading it as you go.
