Sold Date. Source eBay. This is a REAL Winchester Trench Gun Heat Shield in excellent original condition. It is stamped with a "W", as is clearly shown in photo #3. It includes blued mounting screws. It has 4-rows of 19 holes, and is, therefore, the later variation of the Winchester Trench Gun Heat Shield that was introduced in 1941 or 1942.
I've been trying to purchase a Heat shield/bayo lug for a Winchester 1897 Trench Gun project, but it doesn't seem like there's going to be any availability for that any time soon. Just a heads up, your heat shield has to be tight enough to the bbl so that the 3 screws bite into the bbl or it will move under recoil. I built a model 12 trench a few years ago. Turned out great.
