Without infection the game would be boring, the only times you would die its fighting a big ass horde or running head first inside a dark room with 5 zombies inside. You need to buff up the zombies to a high degree to have fun, i only play no infection when i put sprinters on. WTF no infection... Is a zombie game!

Antibodies, which lets you try to overcome the infection by sleeping, eating, and basically trying to fight it like you would a cold, except if you loose you die.First time in 1500hs i get infected without being wounded . Generally wounds like that are rare, unless you just through a window with glass or step in glass. You can get deep wounds other ways but those are the main reasons, at least for me.You can cure Wound infection easily, just take care of the wound, disinfect it if needed, keep a clean bandage on and it'll go away. But the zombie infection, which is contracted on a 7/25/100% chance for a Scratch/Laceration/Bite caused by a zombie is incurable. several methods. Smashing a window with bare hands. Climbing through a smashed window without clearing glass. Walking with no shoes on broken glass. Getting hit by an axe or similar weapon. Falling down one story or more from a building. Driving 40+ miles per hour and hitting something like a tree or another car.
Feeling dizzy, a wound that stays infected and never heals. If you get bitten dont even waste your time to check, I guarantee you're infected. Stop wasting resources and use your skills as much as possible (high carpentry to build stuff, etc) then kamikaze on a zombie killing spree and die. Repeat. You'll be fine if the wound had a different cause, I'm pretty sure having infected blood on your clothes and skin can't turn you even if you have an open wound. 4.

tl;dr: Queasy can happen any time you're injured and take poor care of yourself, check the wound status, if its a scratch you have a 7% chance of being zombified, if its a laceration, you have a 25% chance of being zombified. Neck wounds are the most dangerous, since you bleed out something like 5x as fast. Making sure you're well fed and sleeping restores health. Default mod settings: -Injury Threshold is 2. (This means that any zombie attack after 2 sustained injuries can result in zombification) -Only zombie-related attacks are counted towards the threshold (Scratches, lacerations, etc.) -To compensate for the added "protection", the risk of infection after reaching this threshold is doubled.
I died a few hours back, so I sprinted back, took a couple of hits and snatched everything in time before the horde got me. Unfortunately, I took a couple of hits by the zombies in the way. Scratches, and a bite. I patched everything up, but it did say infected with an orange text. Does this mean I am going to turn into a zombie soon?
