I'm not quite familiar with that site. We have international grads do observerships with us quite frequently. They pay us something like $500 to spend 4 weeks on the inpatient medical service as an observer and part of the medical team, and in this way we get to know them. Our IM colleagues are baffled at the amount of autonomy and critical care knowledge anesthesiologists have. FYI, our program has 5 pediatric attendings, 1 surgery resident, and 2 internal medicine residents that switched over to anesthesiology. They never looked back. Also we have more flexibility.
