I just received my Akko black & cyan 3098b on 12/6/2022. I like the keyboard But the software is not good. I am using the new update 240.2.57 firmware Version V209. When you are using the wireless mode you can not use the software. It does not tell me how much battery life it has or if it is fully charged. Overall, Akko boards have a great stock switch and key cap collection and RK boards would probably require replacing both, so Akkos are the better choice for beginners. TL;DR: If you’re a beginner hobbyist looking for an entry-level keyboard with an all-around good selection of stock switches and keycaps, consider getting an Akko board.

Definitely a lot of that initial sound is the switch, and probably the cheap plastic keycaps (sadge). Akko is one of the brands that prove that high-quality keyboards and keyboard-related accessories do not need to be expensive. Akko has been offering high-quality products for years and has built a good reputation in the mechanical keyboard enthusiast market. The brand currently offers everything from mechanical keyboards to keycaps and switches. The Akko costs around $100 USD by comparison. For you the price difference is less exterme, but it's still a 50% difference. The 75% form factor is better for everyday use than the 60% Wooting. It is said that Akko has better sound and feel than Wooting.
