Here's one for you. FORD issued a TSB for the 2013-2015 I.6L EB 6F35 calling for a complete tear-down, front pump inspection and filter change (tear-down the only way to replace the filter). This was part of a failed TC replacement. If a torque convertor fails, at the minimum the trans is flushed and the filter replaced.
