Make sure you inspect the o ring (just make sure there is one inside where the filter meets the case and the cover O ring as well. Make you you inspect the crush washers as well on the tank and case and don't over tighten. The LTZ takes 2.2 quarts with the filter change. If oil pours out, there's your problem. Otherwise, do a compression check once the valves are shimmed properly. If it tells you that you need rings, then pull the head and put a caliper on the cylinder to get the bore size. If the compression check is good, check the valve seals. They could be dumping oil into the cylinder. '05 Z.

It's good stuff, i've never had a problem with it. Sold all the quads and dirt bikes... Current toy is a 2011 Charger R/T. Jun 13, 2023 · Remove the oil filter with your oil filter wrench. Replace the oil filter with a new one after applying oil to the new filter gasket. With a high-flash point solvent, clean the oil filter guard and surrounding area of any excess oil. Tighten the filter with your oil filter wrench. Pour in the 10W-40 motor oil. 04-KFX400. The only accurate way to check the oil is to start the engine and let it idle for 3 minutes then let it sit off for 3 minutes. If it sits more than 3 minutes oil will settle into the case and it will read low. Any other procedure will give you an inaccurate reading. 2 1/2 quarts is way too much.Have just replied to your PM regarding quantity. I know the zed has softer springs up front but not sure about oil height/air gap. Best bet would be to go with the Ninja oil height and adjust from there if necessary.
