This is definitely a good marvel line to start imo, there have been so many books coming out since 2019. It has used many characters from throughout the X-men’s history so it’s great for old and new fans alike.

Professor Xavier is a billionaire, he comes from old money. Spider-Man is not a mutant so he cannot join, though in the comics he did become a teacher for a bit. He is in fact a billionaire - in The New X-Men Volume 1, Fantomex at one point says that Xavier is a billionaire, worth about 3.5 billion dollars.

Season 2 of the 90s cartoon was awesome for exactly this reason. They didn't jump into the big classic stories yet, they decided to do individual character episodes to go into their pasts and why they left to join the X-men. I agree. There are several major changes as a result of AvX; the MU definitely doesn't reset to the SQ after. I wouldn't say it's "good" but it's worth reading if only to see the Phoenix Force costumes and what the X-Men characters would do with absolute power. I'd suggest picking up the TPB rather than hunting for individual issues.

A few core characters drive the plot and give you a vision of the future. We've got Kamala Khan as Captain Krakoa. She's an X-Man now, so it's like, "Let's give her a dark future." Everyone gets a dark future when they join the X-Men. That's how it works. There are more good films in the franchise than bad. Logan, DOFP, First Class and X2 are some of the best in the Genre. The Deadpool movies were great. X1 and The wolverine are pretty good. Apocalypse and The Last Stand are bad/mediocre but have some great scenes in them. Honestly, X-men origins is the only truly terrible one.If you want to read classic X-Men comics, Chris Claremont's legendary 1975-1991 run is definitely the way to go. If you want to start with something a bit more modern, then I'd recommend picking up New X-Men by Grant Morrison, followed by Astonishing X-Men by Joss Whedon, from the early 00s.
