Well, there are a few things that help. First, Bisharp’s Sucker Punch is one of the strongest priority moves in the game. It has a BP of 105 after STAB, when most priority moves have 60 or 80. Strong Knock Off is also really good, as seen by Weavile. And Dark/Steel in general is a very good STAB combination.
The BSS metagame, as a whole, is more offensively-oriented than most Smogon metagames. There are a couple reasons for this: short timer length, dynamax, fewer bans, and lower levels used (50 vs 100) are just a few. Mimikyu thrives in this type of offensive metagame. Its ability makes it a great revenge killer.
