My question is if this is something that is to be expected from this school going forward? I know Chamberlain has a reputation for being "a DiPLoMa MiLL" or whatever but, come on. If it continues to be like this, I'm going to have to transfer. I thought I was done with the whole pulling rabbits out of a hat BS when I finished my BSN.

So if anyone is thinking about applying, start studying for the HESI asap. I would say because it's a newer campus, communication SUCKS. Every nursing program I have looked into requires different prerequisite courses. I can’t really afford to go to a bigger university. Chamberlain would’ve been like $60-70k if you took my existing credits off the balance and only gotten me finished 6-12mo sooner.

For Profits also have a long history of exploiting people, especially poor people, by charging them astronomical rates for college. A BSN at $699 a credit hour is insane.

I think it is what you can expect out of any nursing school. It is tough, there’s high expectations of the students, and when it’s all over you have a BSN and are not very prepared for what true nursing is.

With Chamberlain, I don't really have worry about this as much. I'll still be able to get it, just complete prereqs as I go. Also, a lot of other programs have time limits on their prerequisites. A lot of mine are now "expired," and I would need to go back to retake those. Again, with Chamberlain, there are no time limits.
