It's frustrating that I can't even use these inverters because they came to me faulty and without the cables I need to fix them. I have usb/rj45 cables but they are apparently for only the batteries. When I look on the SS website I see that you offer EG4 Firmware Cable for EG4 EX Inverters (6500EX & 6000EX) SKU:1511221.After trying for quite a while, I finally have reliable communication between SolarAssistant (SA) and all inverters and batteries. I don't know how you are installing the panels, but I would consider placing half the panels facing East and half facing West and installing a single 7.6kW Growatt inverter.Like many, I saw one of Will's video and took the plunge. We’ll I’m guessing that the issue with changing the rate of charge is due to you using battery communication (EG4 protocol). Even if it looks like you can change certain values on the inverter, they don’t take. Not sure about the pop though.

Yeah, on mine the eg4 setting had 56v bulk and 56v float. The battery status on the display never read accurately even when the voltage reading was good. The "scale" was just off and using the inverter values to monitor on Solar Assistant battery values was no good. Ended up using user ant assigning 56v for bulk and 54.8 for float.eg4electronics.com

Strictly off grid, the N-G bond should be in the inverter which is source. There is not any reason to do it different. However, you do have a grid supply. Unless you install a 3 pole transfer switch before the main panel where neutral is switched, then it isn't truly off grid.
