Did Subaru ever have an auto locking doors feature on any of the Foresters? i.e. on my previous vehicle ('11 Ford Escape) after driving for several feet if I didn't already lock the doors, the car would lock them for me. My dad's Jeep Wrangler and Moms Ford Edge do this.

If the car is running, it could be driven off without the fob nearby (although a message would appear saying the "key not present". However, once the car is turned off, it can not be restarted if the fob is not present.Hit the door lock button through the open window. Hit the 1 click up button for driver window. Remove your hand (obviously). Car is now locked + running and will only unlock via the physical key which comes out of the key fob, or someone inside hitting the unlock button.
