So it becomes a challenge to just get to my farm in one piece -- and if I manage to make it there alive, it feels like a serious achievement. I got Angrenor Once-Honored to be my steward and he's now just hanging around outside Goldenhills Plantation, but the quest isn't progressing. When I talk to him the only dialogue options I see are to tell him I don't need his services anymore or to give him 1 gold.
Maybe it's a mods issue , who knows , game still buggy after a decade later lol. Bring any follower to the farm and talk to them....a dialog will be available asking them if they would like to be your steward. The drunk in riverwood can be one. I think it's the multi follower system mod.
